I’m well chuffed to report that the new website for RiverLife Community Church in Bli Bli has gone live!
As I mentioned in a previous post, this has been very much a text book project with the ‘clients’ (Rob Rodgers the Senior Pastor and his wife Shelley) driving the design, being clear about their purpose and providing the content and visual themes clearly and on-time. We also worked together on new logo designs for the church to reflect the merger of the two churches in Bli Bli and North Shore and after going through the discovery process and us trying out some ideas, they developed the final logo (which I think is GR8!!) with the help of Frank & Dixon, a Christian communications outfit based in Sippy Downs (great place name!) on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. read on
RiverLife Community Churchis the result of the merger in the summer of 2011 of North Shore Baptist Church and Bli Bli Community Baptist Church. The initial connection between Small Beginnings and Pastor Rob Rodgers was made by my great mate Bill Joukhadar when they had been discussing small groups for Rob’s church. Subsequently Rob contacted me to help them develop a new logo for the new merged church, RiverLife Community Church, and we are still working through that design progress – we are close but not there yet! read on
My best mate Bill Joukhadar introduced me to his long time friend, Bob Brown, after he visited him and his church family to talk about implementing a small groups ministry. Bob pastors a small church in Bundaberg in Queensland and had never really thought about having a website because his church was small and he was concerned about the admin/upkeep and of course costs are always an issue. But we started talking… read on
Another church in Australia has asked me to help them update their website, again in beautiful Queensland home of Cells-church Consultants International my parent ministry. Beachside Christian Church is in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast – a wonderful place that I had the opportunity to visit in July 2011. read on
Rob Rodgers, Pastor at RiverLife Community Church in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast of Australia contacted me through the website and asked if I would help them with designing a new logo as they were in the process of rebranding (renaming) their church from Bli Bli Community Baptist Church to RiverLife Community Church.
They had already started the process of brainstorming what a new logo might look like – bearing in mind their vision for the church, their location, local features, etc. They’ve done a really good job. They had also done quite a bit of research into other church logos where the church name was similar (like including the word ‘river’ or ‘life’) to see how other people had done it. read on
This has been one of my most exciting projects; a new church plant, with a young pastor stepping out in faith to answer God’s call! I was introduced to Dave & Jess by my best buddy, Bill Joukhadar, and I am so thankful that he made this connection for me. Because Dave Quak the Pastor is a child of the 80′s he has grown up with the internet, social networking, blogging, iPods, SMS, etc. – and now he is a Pastor planting a new church, he instinctively sees all of these things as ministry tools for developing communications, sharing information, connecting the congregation and reaching out into the community. read on
