I’m well chuffed to report that the new website for RiverLife Community Church in Bli Bli has gone live!
As I mentioned in a previous post, this has been very much a text book project with the ‘clients’ (Rob Rodgers the Senior Pastor and his wife Shelley) driving the design, being clear about their purpose and providing the content and visual themes clearly and on-time. We also worked together on new logo designs for the church to reflect the merger of the two churches in Bli Bli and North Shore and after going through the discovery process and us trying out some ideas, they developed the final logo (which I think is GR8!!) with the help of Frank & Dixon, a Christian communications outfit based in Sippy Downs (great place name!) on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.
Shelley has some great artistic gifts and she has got to grips with using and administering WordPress and is finding her way around successfully – and I’m confident that her skills will grow as time goes on and they develop the content in the site and begin drawing it to the attention of their congregation. The new domain name and site is getting pretty reasonable ratings in Google and combined with their facebook page their visibility on the net is improving; which is a big part of what this project (and indeed Small Beginnings) is all about – putting God’s church out there!
I have been blessed too during this project, learning some new skills and expanding the Small Beginnings repertoire of themes and how to adapt them in different ways, so thanks Rob & Shelley for inviting me to partner with you on your adventure – and CONGRATULATIONS! I pray that the vision and mission of RiverLife Community Church will be blessed through your new website, and that you and your church continue to be a blessing to your community through all that you do.
