St Luke’s Church, Ras Al Khaimah

St Luke's Church | Ras Al Khaimah | UAE

St Luke’s church in Ras Al Khaimah is a small Anglican church.  In the past two years funded by the Chaplaincy of Dubai and Sharjah with the Northern Emirates, a new church has been built for St Lukes on land donated by the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.  This is just one amazing example of where God is influencing the rulers in the Middle East to support His church.  Sometimes, especially when it has happened regularly, it seems almost ‘expected’ or unremarkable – however, such gifts, such vision by the rulers, and such generosity are truly miracles that only God could have achieved.

The chaplain of St Lukes, Reverend Nelson Fernandez, is now making his first website for St Lukes.  The Senior Chaplain of the Chaplaincy, Dr Ruwan Palapathwala is very enthusiastic about the five churches in the chaplaincy having a strong web presence – not only so that people can find places to worship!  But also to celebrate what God is doing here in the UAE and elsewhere through our diocese and indeed the region.

We are taking baby steps – we have organised the domain name and the hosting account, and in the coming weeks and months I am looking forward to working with Reverend Nelson and his team to develop an informative and effective website for St Lukes.

There will be updates, for sure, but in the meantime please visit the website and bookmark it.

    • So good to hear from you John – and what a surprise that it came through my little website!

Hope all is well in Delhi – and I’ve just found the new DB blogspot on blogger (http://delhibrotherhood.blogspot.com/). I’ll write to you separately about the actual DB website which I see is not working – and I would like to help if possible.

      Blessings
      Nick
